Antique Appliance Appraisals
Thousands of vintage stoves and refrigerators
are in existance today, most of which are still being
used. There is a market for these items in their "unrestored"
condition as well as in their "restored" condition.
Our appraisals are designed to give the buyer and seller
of unrestored vintage appliances (i.e. stoves and refrigerators
manufactured prior to 1960) some common ground to come
to during the sale. Each completed appraisal contains
the following information:
- Brief historical information on the manufacturer,
specific appliance, or trends that
were occuring in the appliance industry during the
time that the specific appliance was produced. (Note:
Specific information provided depends on the availability
of that information as it pertains to the appliance
being appraised. References for the historical information
provided in each appraisal are available upon request)
- Our assessment of the condition of the appliance,
based off the photos and information submitted.
- "as-is" unrestored value, cost to restore
according to our Restoration
Process, and fully restored value.
The process to date and value your
vintage appliance is very time consuming and cannot
be done without pictures. Photos submitted need to include
at least full frontal views with door(s) open and door(s)
closed. Please note that it may take 2 to 4 weeks to
complete an appraisal as each item is evaluated separately
based on its overall condition and rarity. When complete,
your signed and printed appraisal will be mailed to
the address you have provided to us, and a copy will
be stored in our office for a minimum of one year. E-mail
copies of completed appraisals are available upon request.
When submitting your appraisal via
the online process, a PayPal account is required. Please
note that we do not send any confirmation acknowledging
that the appraisal form has been received. Confirmation
from PayPal for the payment will let you know that the
form was submitted. It is your responsibility, though,
to provide proper information and photographs. Failing
to do so may cause a delay in the appraisal process.
If you do not have a PayPal account, you may cycle through
the blank form pages and print them off individually.
Fill them out and mail them to our P.O. box address
along with a check for the appraisal fee and the requested
photos.
If you have any questions or need
