Have a late 30's/ 40's GE refrigerator , / freezer. Double door . Was used in a Restaurant as a novelty piece , until i bought it. I and a Auto restorer, whom has found myself restoring many other objects , such as stoves, boats, Bicycles, and many more. m
On this refrigerator was totally stripped , Wood repair thru out , but was not in bad condition , Interior porcelain is in excellent condition . All of the Chrome borderings, Hinges, Two from clasps , were also redone , with their internal springs replaced. This gives the handle to the Clasps the original spring to the lever when opening and closing. the chrome work was done to a show level , where all imperfections were buffed out , filled , the cooper filling , nickel coating then chrome and polishing . The chroming is perfect . I was able to locate new original sealing rubber for the doors , and applied as originally done .
Have several original shelving inside , and have some other shelving giving more space to store inside . It is in good working condition , and cools as it should .
Have it on a 3" high dolly right now ,for easy transport
The paint work was done with urethane automobile paint , and is a perfect Paint work Just a beautiful piece ,as a great addition to a retro kitchen, or use in a restaurant again any questions or need more pictures ,let me know ed burak
