1926 Porcelain Cameo (California Metal Company) icebox cabinet that was converted to an electric refrigerator by Frigidaire in 1929 through a campaign to offer homeowners with existing iceboxes the opportunity to have refrigeration machines installed in their iceboxes. Everything on the refrigerator is original and in good condition. The exterior porcelain cabinet has no damage or discoloration. All hinges and door latches are present and in good working order. The Frigidaire logo is present on the four ice trays, and the Cameo badge/logo is present on the cabinet. The interior compartment is in good condition with all original shelving present. The Frigidaire mechanical refrigeration system is present, although functionality is unknown. Two of the four roller feet are missing.
