This beautiful stove from Crown Stove Works of Chicago, Illinois has been in continuous use in one home since it was bought new and is still in use. The home was built in 1881 and the stove was here when our family moved in 36 years ago. A prior owner says it was bought new by her parents in the early 1930's.

It is in fair condition. There is work that needs to be done on the enamel. One of the doors broke years ago and has been repaired, but not re-enameled. The two ovens and broiler and the burners are in working order.

The old beauty has an unusual burner ignition system that fascinates everyone who sees it. The handle for the burner is turned, an ignition button is pushed which sends air across the pilot light to ignite the burner - a nifty feature which works perfectly.

A careful restoration will create a beautiful and valuable piece of Americana.
